Once a Dutch farm, today this charming estate is a perfect weekend getaway, just three hours drive from NYC. Located in the heart of the wild Catskills, Spruceton Inn offers cozy bed and serene countryside scenery with  mountain view. The proprietors of the place are former Brooklyn residents who left the city life for the house with defunct 1960s motel in Upstate New York. Determined to bring back the old glory of the inn, they started their DIY project that was finished last year when the motel was opened. Rooms are decorated in minimalistic rustic style that is in peaceful harmony with the idyllic surrounding.

Spruceton Inn with its simplicity and quiet luxury is a great place for nature devotees that will enjoy relaxing at nearby creek or gatherings around firepits. Also, you can always have a cup of freshly ground coffee in their canteen and ramble through their library of books and maps. And we, we just need a book and one afternoon in that hammock!
