Casa No Tempo is a serene and minimalist retreat located in the peaceful Alentejo region of Portugal, known for its unspoilt and beautiful vast golden plains. This farmhouse inherited by brothers João and Andreia Rodrigues has been in the family for years and it was renovated a while ago under the guidance of a family friend – the architect Manuel Aires Mateus. The main quest was to open the house to the outdoors so it could welcome the gifts of nature through a magnificent arch on the entrance and large windows in every room. The landscape is in harmony with the interior of this minimalist 4-bedroom holiday house, where the local furniture and flooring made of clay blocks are a beautiful addition to modern bedding, white sofas and details.
This minimalist retreat surrounded by the one thousand acres of cork trees, pastures, wild fields, two dams, five ponds, streams and brooks invites the guests to unite with nature. Apart from fishing, horse riding and cycling, the visitors can also appreciate the stills of daily farm-life and organic produces (the homemade goat cheese, honey, meet, eggs, olive oil, cork, jams and vegetables). The other modern addition in perfect harmony with nature is the vast swimming pool made of sand plaster. Here, by the pool, you can enjoy life by simply doing nothing apart from relaxing on the comfy daybeds by Living Divanni under the parasols made of old sets of sails.
