The Wallpaper* Magazine editorials are brilliant spreads where the fashion imagery meets visual arts in an unexpected way. In a story from the March issue entitled Between The Lines, photographed by Cedric Bihr, the architecture is not just a reference point, but the natural habitat for the modernist clothing from SS16 Ready-To-Wear collections. Chiara Mazzoleni, the Italian beauty from Premier Model Management, became a role model residing at Smith House in Connecticut (one of Richard Meier’s earliest residential commissions).
The structural, monochrome and feminine ensembles styled by Isabelle Kountoure created the scenery of a modernist lifestyle that merges together the future and the past. Apart from pieces from Pleats Please by Issey Miyake, Hermes, Celine, Dusan, Bally, Loewe, Prada, Fendi, Marni and Louis Vuitton, one cannot really avoid spotting beautiful oversized jewelry pieces. The large domed earrings in brass named Tayeh, worn throughout editorial, are a design of Brooklyn-based jewelry designer Fay Andrada. This story of masterpieces united architecture, fashion, and photography.
