This weather forecast that’s showing no hopes for any rays of sun momentarily, inspired us in the search of the perfect minimalistic house in the snow. And we found one. The Palmgren House, located on the shore of Lake Drevviken in Sweden, with its form of simple box creates a quiet and composed presence in the landscape. Contemporary architecture by John Pawson studio here is in the service of solstice changes and natural design they give to the landscape and the lake. Therefore, the pale volume of the house takes a different form during summer days when its elevations are fragmented by foliage. Minimalistic interior of the house is designed to be open as possible to views over the lake.
