Villa Lena is dreamy countryside escape in the heart of Tuscany where untouched nature is coupled with art, culture and lively vibe created by international art scene. Paradise of Villa Lena spreads over 500 hectares of flamboyant Tuscan land with beautiful woodland, rolling hills, vineyards and olives groves. The 19th century neo-renaissance Villa Lena is a home for artists in residence while converted stables are transformed into studios that they use during the residency program. Guests are invited to rent apartments in Fattoria, single rooms in San Michele or separate houses over the estate.
Decorated by Clarisse Demory with an emphasis on easy chic, spaces are filled with vintage pieces, recycled furniture and art produced at the residency. There’s also a large vegetable garden by the 19th century villa that provides most of the vegetable produce for the restaurant. The idea of residency program is to bring together international multi-disciplinary artists to the project – from visual artists to musicians to writers, who contribute to the weekly program of events and to the interior and exterior design of the estate. The submission for two-month artist residency for Summer 2016 is open till June 15th so hurry up to apply here.
